Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted with a smile. There were seven of us eating early (we were told to go early) in the restaurant. We ordered three different types of pizza. I shared a large sausage, onion, pepper, artichoke, mushroom pizza with my mom. Soooo delicious!! Loved eating in the restaurant, a true pizzeria. I wish I lived closer.

Cute tiny spot and really tasty pizza, just try to go at an off time because there's only so many tables and not too many spots to stand around and wait if you haven't been seated yet. My absolute favorite thing about this place was that if you were waiting for a table they let you place your pizza order while you were still waiting which minimizes how long you're sitting around waiting for your pizza once you do get the table. 2nd favorite thing is the pasta looked really really really good. We mostly had pizza and apps but the next time I go back I'm definitely trying some of the pasta.

You can always count on great pizza! We have been going here for years. I recommend getting tomato slices and banana peppers for your topping.

Wonderful home Italian cooking. It's a treat for us, but we do indulge!! Try the chicken Alfredo tortellini. It is amazing.!

As a visitor from Chicago with plenty of pizza options, I was thrilled to find some amazing thin crust pizza (prices were insanely cheap compared to anywhere in Chicago too!). The sauce is a little sweet, the cheese was cooked well done and it was served piping hot right out of the oven. The place is tiny so get there when they open or expect a bit of a wait. Cash only. I look forward to coming back and trying pasta and some of their other options as well.

It's so tasty, I crave it fortnightly...and sometimes nightly! Pizza, pasta, salads, sandwiches...the whole shebang.

The best Italian restaurant by far. Great family run restaurant with high quality food no matter what you choose to order. My personal recommendation is Veal Parmigiana on Spaghetti, add meatballs. Out of this world gravy. Love the family and the service. Remember they are old school, no credit or debit, cash or good check.

Great pizza. It's on the sweeter side. Call ahead, wait time is usually over 1.5 hours. Staff are busy but friendly. They have a small dining room if you want to eat there.

Filippos is definitely in my Top 3 pizza places ever, coming in at a close 2nd to DiCarlos in Virden, IL. The inside was under remodel so we had to sit outside, but the waitress was incredibly friendly and made sure we were constantly okay. Tons of locals were showing up for pick-up and you could tel by conversation this is a special restaurant to the community. As for the actual pizza - we tried both a thick and thin crust. Both were cooked perfectly, a little bit of flop while also having the perfect crispiness. The sauce was my favorite part, it's a sweet sauce but seasoned well. We chose bacon as a topping and it was long thick bits strips, not just cheap bacon bits like most places use. This is a must try pizza, you will not be disappointed!
